Click here to view larger imageMatch tickets and signed jerseys are just some of the fabulous prizes up for grabs as part of the 2008 Wright's Café Bar/Swords Rugby Club Christmas draw. The draw will take place in Wright's next month, with the first prize being a pair of stand tickets to see Ireland take on France in the Six Nations at Croke Park.

Two Hill 16 tickets for the highly-anticipated England match are the second prize, a signed Ireland Six Nations jersey is the reward for third, with a signed Leinster jersey and a signed London Irish jersey the fourth and fifth prizes. And the sixth, seventh and eight names drawn out of the hat with each receive a E100 voucher for Wright's Café Bar.

Swords RFC president, Richard Cowman, looked forward to a great evening and asked the public for their support. ‘We have some top prizes on offer in our draw, including match tickets, which as everyone knows are like gold dust,' Mr Cowman said. ‘We've also got jerseys signed by the entire Irish, Leinster and London Irish teams, which would look good on any office wall or a rugby fanatic's bedroom. ‘There'll also be Wright's vouchers and a range of other prizes on the night, so we'd ask the local community to come on board and buy a ticket.'

Swords RFC have invested heavily in youth rugby in recent years, funding their own youth development officer to teach the sport in the town for the last two seasons. All funds raised will go straight to the rugby club. ‘The future of our club is dependent on the youth of Swords taking part and we are eager to spread the game throughout the area,' Mr Cowman added. ‘We have already laid solid foundations, launching our first underage teams in the last four seasons and we fielded our first U-12 side last month. We hope to build on those successes.'

He thanked Swords RFC's official sponsors, Wright's Café Bar, along with Leinster Rugby and Realprint. The draw will take place in Wright's Café Bar on Thursday, December 18th.
Tickets are on sale now priced E10 each or three for E20 and are available from Wright's or by emailing info@swordsrfc.com.
