Players Meeting And Presentation Night - 14th July '06

Please see the note below from our new Club President - Richard Cowman.

Dear All,

On the 14 th July we will be having what will become an annual presentation evening with awards to the first and second team player of the year, and also awards to some illustrious past players of the club by Tom Egan.

A meeting with the Tony Lawless, our new coach and his views of the season followed by a game of tip will be the start of the night.

Another important function of the evening will be the gathering of club subs via a standing order mandate that has to be filled in. This order will cover the cost of club subs and of the membership of ALSAA and will be spread over the period of 12 months. 12 payments of 20euro, for the non accountants out there. I am sure Dave will accept cheques or cash to the value of this. For those with ALSAA membership in place already we will be taking a payment of 110euro. The payment of these subs will also include one pair of club shorts and socks with logo. Our affiliation to ALSAA has come to the point where it can no longer be overlooked with a nod and a wink and I hope that we can all look to accommodate this payment for the good of the rugby club and the facilities we enjoy.

I am also hoping to have some samples of club gear on the night including casual shirts, t-shirts and fleeces and orders can be placed for these.

AGENDA

19.00 Prompt!! Introduction to Tony Lawless. This will include his view of the season, and details on the goals that will be set for the season. We will hopefully have fixtures available (Branch reliant), but the Leinster League season will be the first week of October to the last week in January.

19.30-20.30 Game of tip

21.00 Refuelling.

21.30 Presentation of awards

22.00 Social beers in ALSAA followed by departure to Old Boro in Swords for a few late sherberts!!
