SWORDS RFC had an impressive victory over Athboy at ALSAA last Saturday, scoring seven tries in perfect playing conditions. Swords led 20-12 at the interval and continued their good form into the second half, with outhalf Peter Carr (left) ***, centre Paul Hewson and wing Chris Long amongst the scorers.

The Swords pack worked hard up front, allowing the backs plenty of possession, which they put to good use. Scrum-half, Martin Ryan, was the deserving man of the match, providing an excellent link between backs and forwards. The side continue to train every Friday evening at 5.30pm in ALSAA - all new players are welcome.
