The weather in Fingal may have resembled Scandinavia in recent days and so it provided a fitting welcome for a visiting rugby side recently. Swords RFC continued their international traditions by hosting Swedish outfit Pingvin RFC at ALSAA last week.

Pingvin, which is Swedish for ‘penguin', hail from the Trelleborg area and it's a place the Swords men may yet become familiar with. The club have been invited to participate in Pingvin's annual tournament in April and may yet add Sweden to their growing list of tour destinations.
The match itself was a cracking encounter, with the visitors narrowly seeing off the Greens by 24-22.
